ATG VII - Shuffle The Deck Feature

.....just "joined one"(which got me to the card set) but not sure if I have the cap right and looks like you still have to join the league again later so is confusing..........I will have to wait until tonight to fill out a card and see if I actually can figure out the getting into the league logistics so take everything I have said to this point with a grain of salt.......

Shuffle leagues do not appear to be in the public leagues. There are shuffle leagues started by BruceF and tomwistar among others and don't see them on the open leagues list and doubt they filled that soon.....

Looks like I am in the league still so guess you do not have to join again....maybe......but not sure what cap there is for these......I assumed there were options but looked like I joined the same league twice with two different caps for my team......not sure if eventually it will boot me if my cap is wrong or if there is a glitch or if these are no cap or 200 mill cap leagues.......

Just tossing out for thought. So you join a league before you can see what players are in the pool. Then you select your players. Is there a time limit for selecting your players? If not what happens if a league fills, but one team in the league drags their feet on getting their draft card set up. Do the other 11 managers just have to wait indefinitely on that person?

Again, I definitely like this feature.

But it needs a lot of work. I don't see how you can begin to fill one of these leagues. I don't see the actual leagues (I see the shuffled sets) that MrBaseballWorld is in. How can you fill these.

There needs to be an easy place to search for these leagues with an easy reference or a link to the shuffled deck. They need to make it easily noticeable. It needs to be on the "leagues forming" page with an easy way to navigate to the correct shuffle.

It's just too confusing right now.

It would be easier for private leagues with 12 committed players before the shuffle, but that won't always happen.

You're asking for common sense here... which is scarce.

Disorganized as always. I was looking at this to be a possible subset for a Barnstormers Event, but unless we have more clarity in viewing leagues and who is in them - having them appear in the directory - it's just another stiched together band-aid "oft requested" feature.

Below is the reply I got from strat. I will try this out tonight to see how it works. If it works the way I think it should, it would allow multiple leagues to be run from the same draft set. I am suspecting the league will show up in the directory as ATG VII #100033 for the set since that is the random set created by nels that I will be using, which should ensure that everyone is using the same set. Looks like they had a good system, just wasn't how I was expecting it to go. Cautiously optimistic at this point.

When you create a new player set you do not automatically create a new league. To create a team using that player set, start by clicking on Start a New Team again. This time the player set you just created will be available to select in the "Shuffle Your Deck" box. Then you can create a team and league as you would normally.

Now for the shuffled part: 1500 cards, 70 stadiums, all players and multiple cards are eligible

At first glance, the pool still seems huge but all I did was briefly look at the first page of hitters and there's still alot of studs but it is 1500 cards and 100 million
