DDope LIVE ATG7/$200M/...Tonight **Didn't fill**

Note this league replaces the previous ATG6 LIVE League we had scheduled.
* It starts 1 hour earlier than the last league, makes it easier to start the Frenzy tonight.
* Also, I am suggesting a workaround to use Diamond Dope as is on the ATG7 card set, see
next post.

Previous sign-ups (please check in: i.e., post and say "still in" so we know you
are okay with the two changes). Salt (work), TRW's and Simon31 (family illnesses) had
to drop.

New Card Work around

There are only 13 cards (I believe) of the 400 new cards which aren't abvailable at least in another
year version in a Diamond Dope Draft for ATG6 now AND are interesting to the $200 mill format.
If I missed any, we can add to the list (maybe some $7.9 mill starter).

My suggested workaround:
(1) in the Diamond Dope part of the draft, supstitute the player listed below. Then
you have *Rights* to both for this draft.
(2) in your ATG7 autodraft team, put the actual ATG7 player on the card

Thats about as simple as I could think to make the work around.

FYI: New cards with exisitng alternatives

There are plenty of alternative year cards for players that could be interesting
in the $200 mil format. There is no work around neccesary here, just use an
existing alternative.

If this goes tonight, I'll be in. But I'll have to drop out until after the New Year, because we're traveling for a while and I'm pretty sure my internet will be very spotty. I'll be up for a regular run after the New Year though. It would be REALLY NICE to have a live draft with the strat site. But I'm having my doubts that we'll be seeing that thing coming at all.

The earlier time is tougher for me but I will figure it out. I was really counting on this filling before tonight so there would at least be an opportunity to organize some stuff on diamonddope.


The league has to be filled by 11 pm EST. That gives us 2 hours to make 192 picks and get loaded. Diamonddope is considerably slower than it used to be so we need to be prepared to stop before 16 rounds is my guess(ie at 12 or 14). This is going to be tough to pull off.

Mr. Baseball World, you make a good point.

So how about this schedule:

9 ET we start (as planned)
at 10:10 ET where ever we are in the draft, finish up to the next even round level

This gives us 50 minutes to finish the current 1-2 draft rounds, fill out our teams and submit
them to the league. This should eliminate the hard time constraint. Still some time pressure,
but it should be doable with minimum stress.
