A call to arms or my plan...

PostMon Dec 10, 2012 10:14 pm

My plan is to stock up on teams at the current prices and then not buy anymore until SOM addresses our requests for communication and fixes the crap that is still broken with ATG. If enough people join me, we will prevail. Our lesson from dealing with this organization is that they only respond to the bottom line. When our purchase of teams slowed to a trickle last summer and our voices got progressively louder, only then did they listen to us and act. After that it's been back to the same old business as usual, worse even than TSN because there at least Bernie would communicate occasionally. They must view us as sheeple to be fleeced. But if we act in concert our voices will not be ignored and our very reasonable issues at least addressed. Otherwise, not much point in complaining because as long as we buy teams, we reinforce their "screw the customer" approach to doing business.

I'm following a different plan - I will leave my remaining few credits lie dormant while I check out other sites. If Strat fixes their site before I find something I like better, then I'll come back.

I am sick and tired of high-handed Hal.

If we don't "stockpile" teams, they might act a little quicker...

If guys buy 5 packs now and either take their time playing or win a few credits here and there, SOM won't act as quickly.

My idea is that their revenue stream will be way down first quarter of next year. Plus past attempts to get concerted action have not worked, people just keep buying teams. This way we can still play and they don't have new funds coming in.

Didn't we start a petition last time, and that's when they started to actually do something.

It seems really dumb to me, that they have this very loyal core customer base and all they seem to be good at doing is alienating us.

Bernie always had a problem over promising stuff. But at least he spoke to us. And the stupid thing is, I think most of us just want to be in the loop. If they said they were working on the live draft and it would be ready in 6 months, I think most of us would be ok with that. But, the total lack of communication just leaves a lot to be desired.

I sent them an email a few days before they released ATG7. I told them, they should have something better than just 200 cards or they were going to piss a lot of people off. I would have rather them postpone the release of ATG7 and have some new features added with the new cards in 2-3 months, than to have been totally disappointed the way I was a few days ago.

I went from being stoked and buying a lot of credits and playing a lot more the last few months to being totally apathetic after the announcement of ATG7, and questioning wheter I want to play any more after the price increase in January.
