What We want John Garcia to Blog about Next week.

So it appears that John Garcia is going to blog about something everything every Thursday. This weeks blog contained zero new information. I suggest we help him along. Every Thursday after John's blog, I suggest we come up with one topic we want him to discuss the following Thursday.

I suggest we stick to 1 topic each week and not digress in this thread. I think we should all show solidarity and sign our names to this "request or petition". Then early next week, Mon/Tuesday, I will send an email to SOM with a link to this MB thread asking him to address the topic.

If you want to suggest a topic, that is fine but start it on another mb thread first.This thread won't mean anything unless it is focused on one topic each week.

1. So are Live Drafts still being worked on?
2. If so, do we have any time line to look forward to?
3.. Will this include different caps, draft time intervals, ability to change the number of rounds, ability to draft stadiums, etc.?
4. If a Live Draft app is not currently being worked on, when can we expect this to start being worked on?

What I would suggest is every week we pick one topic and get as many people as possible to ask him to give an update on it in his weekly blog.

For instance, we could all write (or a variation of such):

Dear John,

Thank you for a weekly update on the going over at SOM. Since you are open to topics, we are hoping you could use that to give us an update on one feature we have actually been asking for each week.

This week we would like to get an update on the Live Drafts. The old draft was a flash app TSN created from their fantasy sports. It doesn't have to be the same, but something similar. We have been asking for a Live Draft, with selectable salary caps (instead of no limit caps only), for many years. Also, we have been asking for the Live Draft to be reinstated since the move from TSN to SOM.

So the official questions are:

1. So are Live Drafts still being worked on?
2. If so, do we have any time line to look forward to?
3. If not, when can we expect that to start to be worked on?

There is no way to know if one person will send an email to him about one topic or100 people will doing it your way.


I was expecting to get as many people to "sign" their name to a topic each week. And then I would send him an email with the link to this message board thread requesting he talk about the subject.


This will only work consistently, if people will put their name on the request list. If I only get 5 people, it will not work and we will be ignored.

I never did live drafts for personal reasons. But consider it an important feature that deserves discussion. So I add my name to the list. Would want freedom to draft a player and slot him for any position listed on his card. Would also want all standard salary caps as built in function.
