Slumping

PostSat Dec 15, 2012 4:35 pm

Had a team finish the season last night that forgot how to win.

Started the season 62-23.
Finished the season by going 36-41.
Went 8-16 in last 24.

Wish I would have had injuries, at least I would have an excuse.

Although I don't have any proof of this, I've long believed that online Strato has some sort of a normalization mechanism kick in to keep a team's record within certain parameters. I've seen too many examples of my teams and others' teams get off to a blazingly fast start, only to later win games at between a 25-30% clip for a large portion of the season to be brought back to the rest of the pack. Usually, my quick start teams get beset by injuries and struggle the remainder of the season and miss the playoffs. It defies logic how a team can be so good and then so bad.

Apparently the dice DO have a memory!
