another clarification please....

"For example, Barry Bonds has cards with SF exp and Pitt exp. His high dollar card is with SF exp, so the manager who selected SF exp gets auto drafting rights to Bonds. If the manager with SF Exp does not auto draft Bonds, the manager with Pitt EXP can pick him up in waivers."

I assume that if the GM with drafting right drops the player in question at anytime then the other eligible GM('s) can grab their respective versions and keep player in question? The way the above statement reads it seems that if the draft rights GM drafts the player then he has "lifetime" rights to the player and the player only goes rouge if left off the initial draft card.

You are reading too much into the statement. One would expect that this example assumed that all listeners would realize that nobody who drafts Bonds is going to drop him.

Perhaps a better wording would be that only the franchise that owns the highest valued card for a player may draft him, but any franchise owning a card may pick him up if he becomes a free agent.

Another way to say it, you have control over that player until the Autodraft runs. Once the Autodraft runs, any FAs on the wire are fair game.

Hi guys,

I just back from being off-line all day so sorry for the delay. I will pick in a minute, but here are the updates from the office of the commish..

1) As detailed in the initial posting: "The randomizer will determine the division assignments." I will post something on the ILC once I have more time, but basically the assignment will go 1 - East, 2 - Central, 3 - Midwest, 4 - West, 5 - East ect....

2.) Don't over think the high dollar card rule guys.. Andy captured it well.. If you have the high dollar card, you get autodrafting rights.. if the manager with the high $$$ card does not autodraft the player, any team that has a card version of the player can add them to their roster.. There is no "stealth" burning of the cards.. ect...

3.) I really hate having such an early pick... it better be a good one, because my next one will have nothing

I'll pick in the 5AM EST hour assuming the commish has made his pick. After much study I have narrowed my options down to 6 teams. I still can't make up my mind so hopefully the commish will take one of the teams to make my decision ever so slightly easier.
