But I also think there is a lot of over reaction going on. Concerns about widespread platooning via this feature imo are ungrounded. Even at the upper caps such a strategy would waste too much money to be a winning strategy.

Amen.

And if someone does use a strategy like that which would almost certainly lead to a losing record I just would hope they are in my division. :D

Agreed.

This feature is in the CD version of the game.

Be careful though - in the CD game, if you don't set the reverse pitchers, HAL will use his infinite wisdom and decide what your lineup will be - he does not use the vR or vL lineup.

thanks for the heads up, I was just not going to do mine.

Now I am fully against this move, more work for something I don't care for! :x

Stupidity, let me count the ways.

Number 1. It's very unrealistic.

How many times did a manager say "Hey guys we're facing Koufax today and this particular year he's trending 3R so lets put a few more lefties in to face him."

But most of this community doesn't seem to care that it's unrealistic...the ONLY thing most complain about is how unrealistic rp usage is.

And speaking of stupid and unrealistic, it had been asked for and talked about in the past to allow someone like Mantle (S) to bat left against the 3R Koufax...It's coming guys because most of you seem to think it's realistic....Let's just abolish the Super reliever because that's just silly.

Oh and while we're at unrealistic, and on our crusade to eliminate relievers pitching 250+ innings..How bout we get back to some meaningful dialogue to change stadiums after the draft...because after all that's been done time and time again and real Baseball and is totally realistic.

Number 2.

All due respect to Jet40 he doesn't play too much higher cap stuff to agree with valen "Even at the upper caps such a strategy would waste too much money to be a winning strategy. And if someone does use a strategy like that which would almost certainly lead to a losing record I just would hope they are in my division." I can show that to be a winning strategy in many high cap leagues leagues...and I always hope to be in Valen's division....Off course now it won't be a winning strategy.

Number 3.

To implement ANYTHING in season that effects PAID FOR TEAMS in an UNEQUAL MANNER should be grounds for Credits on each team affected, the first time you make that bonehead decision.....The SECOND time you make that same bonehead decision you should be fired!!!!!

Now I'm sure Bernie didn't think this all the way through (because he rarely does) and I'm even more certain he doesn't recognize the adverse impact it can have on high cap ATG leagues because he rarely plays ATG and almost never 200m....and that, coupled with 100 other things is why he should be let go...To be clearer, how can you design a product you don't play and give you customers what they want when you listen half ass and barely communicate.

Mark Sanchez seems like a nice guy...He says all the right things...seems to care...could possibly win under different circumstances...but has underachieved here..and continues to drop the ball.....Mark Sanchez meet Bernie

DOUBLE EXACTLY RIGHT!

NO PRO organization changes rules/playing style mid-season. NOT ONE.
IS this really going to continue to operate this unPROfessionally?

It should not be implemented existing teams.

The realism argument does not hold water.

Did anyone voice their thoughts to strat?
