I have no idea what discussion you refer to. But there are 6 columns corresponding to the roll of a single 6 sided die.
1-2-3 and the results come off the hitter card
4-5-6 and the results come off the pitcher card.
Now if we assume that die is properly balanced and all 6 numbers are equally as likely to get rolled that is a 50/50 split.
Now it is another discussion if the dice is weighted somehow. Those who gamble know there is such a thing as loaded dice. On the board game honest dice falls under the honor system.
It is also another discussion if you believe the computer's random number generator does not produce a truly random and equal distribution of rolls. I suppose one could write some kind of script to capture the dice rolls off the replays and plug them in to verify the distribution is truly 1 in 6 (or 16.666% for each number) for all numbers on each die.
Can you imagine the howling that would result if someone actually did that and reported say that a 2 is rolled consistently 20% of the time by the computer instead. It would probably have to be taken before the united nations.
