1.No matter if its 'good' or 'bad' its inexcusable to make the change on predrafted existing teams. Even if the effect is, say only 1 or 2 games different- people drafted their teams based on the rules- cant change midstream- its completely amateurish, no pro organization would do it.
2. Yes, everyone loves greater control of their team- BUT- why is the control only going for batters?
Bernie keeps saying 'often demanded' feature- maybe some are demanding it, but twice as many people have asked for Bullpen 3 to come out- so my question is- did they just do this one because its easier and more convenient?
3. If I understand the control then it works the same way for both a 1L SP and a 9L SP.
Does that make any sense?
4. The biggest issues is once again that Bernie does things without communicating with the community.
Ive dont like to threaten to quit the game- and I prolly won't, but we keep putting badaids on the giant gashes we have- so Im not sure where that leaves it.
The NHL once changed the rules on offsides in the middle of a season in order to increase scoring
The NFL changed the rule on when you call a coin flip (before flipped versus in the air) in the middle of the season
Major League Soccer changed the rule on tiebreakers for making the playoffs in the middle of the season - imagine changing that here.
This is an improvement to the control of the game and there is a really good advantage that accrues to pitching as a result of this that I really like, in essence I think that is the best part of the whole change myself.
