Well, if you would have scoured the HOF listings for several times several minutes as I did, you would have come across it.


Did you know that, alphabetically anyway, Nolan RYAN and RYNE Sandberg or one after the other in the HOF?

A friend did the same NYT puzzle, and e-mailed me for help. It took me about 20 minutes to get the answer (without looking it up): Hoyt Wilhelm and Waite Hoyt.

and the NYT is wrong. Hoyt is his middle name. The HOF officially lists him as James Hoyt Wilhelm.
