George Earnshaw hurls a no-no

PostTue Jan 01, 2013 3:14 am

Earnshaw allowed just a single walk, so he came very close to a perfect game. I think it's kind of cool when the cheaper players (here 4.31 M) pull a no hitter off against superstar competition. Here's the game.

Just for kicks, can you remember your cheapest pitcher who threw a no-hitter?

Congrats... I think Earnshaw threw a no-no for me way back in ATG1 :D

As for the cheapest pitchers I've had, I can recall John Buzhardt throwing one for me once. He used to be a bargain when he cost under 1.5 mil.

Several months ago, someone posted an Ed Farmer no-hitter.

Now that's a classic! Gotta be in Minute Maid against an all righty lineup!

John Farrell (1.38m) pitched two hitters in one Back-to-the-80's season for me recently.

That's two no-hitters, Stu? ;) If so, pretty impressive. As you know, I've played a lot of 80s, but I don't think I've ever used Ferrell. Gotta try him out! :D

The 3.34M Eppa Rixey card in an earlier version of ATG. Also The sub-1M Jack Harper hurled a 1-hitter in game 162 in a long-ago league. Only game he pitched.

The .75 Steve McCatty threw a no-no in a semifinal game in the 80's version. And yet I lost that series... and now the box score has been deleted:
