Bill (AllStarInc) asked me to sign him up! Hopefully we hear from Svenska soon on the draft proposition... I m much more interested in this if we do a draft on the boards here (vs. autodraft).

I'm pretty new around here - have never played a ATG league. The number of players to choose from seems daunting. However I like the 60's era and this sounds fun.

I agree with live draft for as many as possible players. Message board is fine. I believe Gordie Howe wants in.

If I am counting correctly there are around 295 cards in the 60's- counting the repeats, so maybe 260 available. I suggest not adding any 70's cause there is the 70's card sets, but if we added 1955 through the 60's we would have around 440 players minus the doubles- maybe around 400 players to pick from. Should be just about right.

Two rounds wouldn't work out because picks 1 and 2 would get 12-13 million dollar cards and picks 11-12 would get around 8 million dollar cards and it wouldn't equal out in two rounds. Two or four rounds or more might work out with the cards from the extra five years.

I believe that the 295 count refers to the number of hitters cards in the set, having just analyzed the spreadsheet. Since a team generally consists of 15 hitters, and with 12 teams in the league, that would result in 180 hitters required. We may be able to restrict the league to 1960 - 1969 players, if you don't mind having Ray Oyler on your team.

As long as we can fill rosters legally I am all for just 60-69!
