Armstrong and PEDS

Here is the Oprah interview.

I suspect that almost every athlete who used PEDs had much the same story.

I also cannot remembering Armstrong never failed any drug test. And I remember Conti stating that he could beat any drug test as long as the athlete followed their schedule exactly.

I think this is why MLB and the union have taken the steps of obtaining baseline tests from all players and blood testing.
Is baseball the only sport that does blood testing. I don't think the NFL does. And for whatever reason you never hear about the NBA regarding all this.

"I also cannot remembering Armstrong never failed any drug test."

I read somewhere that alot of riders knew well ahead of time when the tests were going to be.
My guess is this is a wide spread thing. Many many people had a part in this.

"And for whatever reason you never hear about the NBA regarding all this."

From what I've read, most would test + for marijuana...

I don't condone what he did, but if MOST riders were doing it and Lance still won, doesn't that make him truly a great cyclist?

Same goes for Bonds no?

And, in what I think is an important aside regarding cycling and baseball and other sports, the PEDS didn't make Armstrong necessarily FASTER than the other guys, but he could recover faster and therefore go longer in the grueling Tour schedule.........................

Very true Andy... but from what I've read about all these cyclists, MOST of them were doing something.

So you can take something, but you still have to train. And you still have to have a desire to be the best. ie. HEART
