The Signs They Are a Changing 1960-69 League - Playing

OK, big deal or not, I just want to know that we're all on the same level playing field.

We make selections by player, by year as we're going along. Do we or do we not have the option to change the year of the player we previously selected in order to fit into the 80M salary cap as the draft progresses? That was never spelled out in black and white initially. But again, Kenhutchings qualifying statement attached to his last pick suggests that he wants to do that. Does he have that option? Do WE ALL have that option? That's what I'm trying to get clarified.

Year matters for tracking salary cap

Obviously year only matters for players with multiple 60s cards. However even then you are not tied to that year card forever and ever I presume. Later in the draft if you need to use a lower value card for whatever reason I assume we can do that too.

Everyone must still plan and draft a team that will come in below the 80M cap. We need to be able to fill out a draft card with 25 players at or under 80M. Also in tracking the draft on the spreadsheet the year just helps me positively identify the player selected.

Now that being said, if you draft Brooks Robinson you own Brooks Robinson. If down the line in the draft you want to switch to a different year that's fine, just post the change. If it's after the AD just make the change yourself. As long as we stick to 60-69 dated cards. We can adjust rosters in waivers and free agency after the draft, as long as we stick to 60-69 dated cards and yield all drafted players to their respective teams.

We may decide (if the draft is running smoothly) to expand the number of rounds as well, just to make the AD process (the last six roster slots if we draft 19 players and a stadium) less messy. We will all be competing for a small player pool. We will see how it goes through 20 rounds...
