Stan was the Man. I went to the 2001 induction of Bill Mazeroski. At Cooperstown, I had the honor of meeting and conversing with Carl Erskine. In our talk, I asked Mr. Erskine who the toughest out was for him. Without hesitation, Carl said Stan Musial. I asked Mr. Erskine why? He explained that all the hitters he faced had weaknesses. Stan Musial had none.
