I agree with lmbombers we should see if everybody is in and then do the 50-59 live draft right after our new teams are loaded. I would bet Ugrant and Frankie or others of old group would be happy to take anyones place that did not want to participate.

How about starting a tournament where we do a league from each decade. We can use the '60's (as we are doing) as the first league.

You get one point for every game won during each season. You get BONUS points for winning a division, getting the wild card, winning a playoff series, and winning a championship. The team with the most points after we play the final decade is crowned "The Ultimate Champ of all of Civilization" aka...The "UCofC"....and then we start over and do it again.

I know we're likely talking about a couple year's worth of leagues and hoping everybody can stick around might be a challenge, but it makes for some great continuity and gives purpose to games even if you're out of the race in that particular league.

Once a season starts...we start the draft for the NEXT season. At some point we may have two or three going at the same time if we do it that way, but we can slow it down a bit if it's getting crazy.

What do you think...oh, and I nominate Dan as Commissioner! LOL (You're welcome Dan)

I am up for anything - as long as we do a draft like this. This sounds fun. Say hi to the Golden Boy for me, Bill.

And, by the way, I will be out of towm Saturday through Monday afternoon. I can stay in touch by phone and may have some internet coverage along the way. Is anyone else willing to stay in touch with allstarinc and me by text if necessary when picks are due? I will bring the spreadsheets along.
