I see the chatter about next season's draft order, but I still don't see it on the Spreadsheet we just got. The 2012 Draft Grid represents the draft earlier this year. I'm looking for a new draft order with my name on it.

thanks, Kev

You draft second overall order is as follows:
1. Champ
2. ehlekev
3. fowldog
4. af Dickie
5. Ninersphan
6. Kylerose
7. Stoney
8. Detroit Tigers
9. Cubit
10. Nythawk
11. qksilver
12. Akindian

That is assuming I'm reading it right. We played the 2011 season in 2012. The 2011 refers to the year on the players cards so the draft order that says 2012, actually takes place in 2013 utilizing the the player cards for the 2012 MLB season.

At least I think that's the way it's supposed to go. It's at the top of the second tab of the League history sheet, labeled Season Records.

In an effort to get ready for the upcoming season, I've looked over my squad and come to some conclusions.

1. It stinks. I see a MINIMUM of 17 cuts, and could go as high as 21.

2. This "order of merit" thing troubles me a bit. My team has only had 1 season in the last 6 where I've finished over .500, and that was an 83 win team, including 4 straight losing seasons, yet somehow I'm still drafting in the bottom 4 picks of any round. I think we may need to look at how things are weighted, 'cause it doesn't feel like the losing has as much weight as the winning or I should say the making of the playoffs.

3. Getting back to my squad, I basically need, in no particular order: DH, 1b, 3b, C, LF RF, SP, RP & a Closer. The only 3 positions on my squad that I'm happy with are CF, 2b and SS. and SS is the only one with any depth.

Why bring this up, other than a cheap way to bump the thread? Glad you asked. In an effort to get some hot stove action started, I'm willing to put my Shortstops, Reyes and Desmond, on the market. I certianly won't trade both of them and in fact may not trade either of them unless I get an offer I really like. Would would that be?

A First round pick and a usable player. If you think you can afford the price send an offer. ;)

I am just coming up for air after my move back to the states from Japan and the start of a new term here in the East. I want to thank any and all who have been trying to contact me in the interim. Now we're buried in snow, but I wanted to be sure to post here before we were literally buried!
