Yeah, Oyler is still available!! There may be a rush to grab him.

Did any of you compete in that 1969 league where the salary cap was something like $25 M? Everyone ended up with a number of $0.50 players on their team. Although he had a low batting average that season (does the sun rise in the east?), Oyler (aka "Oil Can Harry") hit 7 homeruns for the Pilots.

I was a bit surprised to see that he died at age 42. Anyone know the circumstances of his passing?

More Oyler trivia from the Baseball Reference website. Oyler had a total of 15 career homeruns. However, he hit two homeruns each off of Dave McNally and George Brunet. How would you like to go through life as a pitcher knowing that Ray Oyler owned you?
