Duffy and Hamilton

PostFri Feb 08, 2013 7:18 pm

What is the best combo in small ball park.

A.

LF - B Hamilton R2 E9 (+3)
CF - Duffy R2 E11 (-2)

B.

LF - Duffy R2 E11 (-2)
CF - B Hamilton R1 E9 (+3)

C. Neither, get a CFer with a real arm and R1.

Thanks for your help!!

Once upon a time a stat whiz here showed that range in center field is significantly more important than arm, even though the minus arm looks better.

If you can put a -5 arm in right, that should help to balance things a bit.

Hey if you have Cobb in RF let them do rock paper scissors and put the loser in LF. Then run the league ragged.

Occasionally will take Hamilton, Duffy is ok on the right team but I would never play Duffy in CF and never had except if my normal CF was injured. With Cobb you have the makings of a great hitting small ball team, I'd go Duffy in LF and take any other option for CF with defensive prowess. I find Hamilton to be a marginal positive impact on small ball teams.

OK, good input.

22 LH SPs in the league right now. I am in Forbes 65

I was thinking:

Collins
BHamilton
Cobb
Duffy
Carew
BAker
Cochrane
Templeton

So Reiser, Pinson, Lofton or Pete Hill would be available for CF. I picked up Lofton and I have Speaker, but do not think I can afford him and Duffy both.
