In an effort to get ready for the upcoming season, I've looked over my squad and come to some conclusions.
1. It stinks. I see a MINIMUM of 17 cuts, and could go as high as 21.
2. This "order of merit" thing troubles me a bit. My team has only had 1 season in the last 6 where I've finished over .500, and that was an 83 win team, including 4 straight losing seasons, yet somehow I'm still drafting in the bottom 4 picks of any round. I think we may need to look at how things are weighted, 'cause it doesn't feel like the losing has as much weight as the winning or I should say the making of the playoffs.
3. Getting back to my squad, I basically need, in no particular order: DH, 1b, 3b, C, LF RF, SP, RP & a Closer. The only 3 positions on my squad that I'm happy with are CF, 2b and SS. and SS is the only one with any depth.
Why bring this up, other than a cheap way to bump the thread? Glad you asked. In an effort to get some hot stove action started, I'm willing to put my Shortstops, Reyes and Desmond, on the market. I certianly won't trade both of them and in fact may not trade either of them unless I get an offer I really like. Would would that be?
A First round pick and a usable player. If you think you can afford the price send an offer.
