I'd be completely shocked if he did not. Way too much time with the club last year.

265 AB is a lock for the regular set.

Not necessarily a lock! If they think his use can skew results he will NOT be included in the regular set but in thee unleashed. See Karim Garcia in 2002. He had over 200ABs and didn't get a card. But I have always maintained price the card accordingly to be used.

Guys, the examples of Garcia and Carlos Baerga (mentioned by Ninersfan in a previous thread) were eons ago, when SOM Online was still in its infancy. In the last 4-5 years as the parameters became more consistent, there are no examples that I know of where players with 200+ PAs are excluded.

Also, Moss will usually not lead the league in HRs (a big concern for Bernie in the past) because he will usually get at least 2-3 15-gm injuries per season, and guys like Miggy Cabrera don't have that issue. I predict a card for Moss in the regular set, and in a neutral park you should see from 35-40 HRs and about 500 PAs.

Let's not forget the example of Wes Helms' 2006 card. He hit .329/.390/.575 in 278 PA's and was priced accordingly at somewhere in the $9-10M range.

Moss had 296 PA's hitting .291/.358/.596. The only real difference is Games played (Helms: 140, Moss: 84) and the stronger split Moss has towards RHP, which most of us know is more valuable in SOM (he has an astounding 73.6 total bases against RHP).

Helms is a decent comparable, but remember that's also 6 years ago. Bernie has made multiple posts & clarifications about the parameters he has in place now. It's no longer the old pornography line - "I know it when I see it" (though some Strat players may consider Moss' card to be akin to porn, but that's a separate thread). Bernie has guidelines that he uses to rule players in or out, and while they are not hard & fast, it does give a framework for inclusion/non-inclusion. That guideline is basically if the card is more than $5M in value, it must have at least 150 PAs (for a reg position player/non-C).

And then de Aza had 152 and wasn't included, even though he has no way to win any of the batting titles, hr titles, etc to skew the game.

So your guidelines are bunk! :P

DeAza was a surprise. And his PAs were right on Bernie's cutline so I think that had something to do with it. But your'e wrong in that he could have won batting titles pretty easily. He had 35 pts of hits and 12 pts of BB on his card vs RHP, and a decent enough card vs LHs to hold up. That would have equated to a .330+ BA & put him in contention for batting titles.

Again, this is not an exact science, but show me evidence of *recent* exclusions for guys with 200+ PAs (let's say last 4 yrs). As far as I know, they don't exist.

Moss has a monster 12.6 HR vs. rhp with another 8 BP HR.
