what are the odds?

so i am pitching and it's the bottom of the ninth inning and i am up by 2 runs (4-2). i rolled 4-7 for a hit on 4 consecutive rolls and lost.

I've read about this and seen it first hand way too often for me to believe it's just the "roll of the dice"....
