How does this Moss card compare with the best lefty power hitting cards (vs. RHPs only) in SOM history?

Add in Beachy, Harvey, and Fister and you have 80% of that 5 man rotation and 4 of the top 15 priced pitchers.

If you use 4 of the top 15 priced SP in your rotation, not to mention you still need another SP that will pitch 20% of your games, I don't know how you can afford enough offense to win.

You will have to use a few players from the first page of hitters sprinkled in with some lower priced good value guys. How is this different from any other year?

Randy...

You have a point. But try and justify the prices to these guys... (I could go on and on here...)

Cano
Headley
Y. Molina
Wright (And I'm a Mets fan...)
Gordon
Heyward

To much of a premium put on defense, even though Headey and Wright are 2's, it's been that way for a few sets now...

There are plenty of values just under two million for most positions, and especially values for catchers.

I do see a problem with only bein able to carry 12 pitchers... There, there are nor enough relief pitchers that are worth the $ that are rated R2... Plenty of R1's that are not exactly priced as values. How are we to build a team that has enough bullpen depth to finish a 3 game series, without being fatigued is what I am wondering.

Since this is the first year that SOM has done the pricing for the game, do you suppose that SOM, is trying to make the game more realistic, atleast at the 80 mill cap?

I would guess bbrool is still doing the pricing, though I could very easily be wrong on that.

From my looking at it, it looks as though a couple points with the pricing.

1) OBP weighted too much. This has always been as issue, but it's taken to another level this season. It is just ludicrous some of the pricing on guys with OBP tied to their cards.
2) LH mashing too much of a value in price. Posey is a great example, very mediocre vs RHP, but priced over 9 mil? You just don't face LHP enough to justify that in 99% of the cases.

Defense, tbh, isn't as overpriced as any other year. Guys like Wright, who has some OBP but not really a ton of TB to drive guys in, should be priced in the 6-7 mil range at most. He looks like a more L leaning vs of De Aza last year, and he was priced (again better vs RHP) at just over 7 mil. How the hell is Wright at 9?

Seriously can we get a redo on the pricing? I haven't complained on the pricing formula in years, I think from the 04 or 05 season. That's how bad I think it's done this year.

I really hope if they ever bring back the old games they DON'T reprice them if this is how it is going to be.
