Never gotten a definitive answer for this.

The board game has an allowance that will permit you to move OF's from their rated poition to an unrated position as follows:

CF to RF or LF, no adjustment so a 1e2 (-1) in CF would be the same in RF or LF

RF to CF +1 to rating, to LF no adjustment. So a 1e2 (-1) RF becomes a 2e2 (-1)CF and keeps the same RF rating in LF

LF to CF +2 to rating. LF to RF +1 to rating So a 1e2(-1) LF becomes a 3e2(-1) CF or a 2e2(-1) in RF

However I do not know if this rules is in effect for the online game. If it's not the player playing out of position becomes a 5 with the max error rating for the position, which is obvioulsy ludicris for OF play.

I think it does the simple rules and will add +2 to the range.

The problem is you have to make sure you don't have a single person with a CF rating on your team, or else it won't move him there.

I really wanted to pull that off for my LF on a team, but I have so many guys that also have a LF rating, it would be really hard to change them all out to do it.

Challenge here is going to be not having anyone on your team rated for CF. Then you will have to leave Bruce out of your lineup and the CF slot open. Then you will have to trust HAL to use Bruce instead of someone else in CF and trust him to make reasonable lineup after that.

Personally all that trust in HAL would keep me up at night.
