I finally won my first championship after about 20 teams played. This was my second 2011 team but was able to pull out some close wins and was also lucky to stay very healthy in the playoffs. It feels good to finally get one in the bag.
Pujols was an absolute beast during the playoffs and Kennedy won it with his only at bat in the playoffs. He came through with a 2 out, bottom of the ninth, down by a run, pinch hit two run double to win the championship. He was carried off the field on his teammates' shoulders. He was a hero.
This team was very fun to watch actually. I was struggling early in the season and having bullpen issues. I don't like to drop players during the season but Ceshek was killing me for the first quarter of the season. I needed better matchup situations so I dropped him and was lucky to get N. Feliz who was great during the regular season. I also adjusted other relievers to reduce their innings and things worked out. I think I had about 118 man games lost due to injury but had enough depth to overcome it. My lineup had so many guys who could mash that it made up for a lot.
I really like Mayberry Jr. in this set as he can slug with the best of them. Has anyone else had the success with him that I have?

Wow, nice team. Impressive power throughout the lineup. I am surprised at Matt Cain's season as I have had mixed results with him in more favorable pitcher's parks. I like the way you used your bullpen. Congrats.
Kipnis and Hardy are money aren't they! Nice job! Watching them both in the replay was K,K,HR,K,K,HR. Mayberry bombed for me but those two were fun everytime they came up to bat.
