2012 PC Tournament Final Standings

^^^ Down to the last series of the year for SteadyEddie - win the last series and win the division, and enter the championship round. If he wins a series or 2 he could vault up in the seeding as well.

League 7 wraps up its regular season, and SteadyEddie33 wins sympathy from jagman2882, who edges him from the league playoffs and out of the tournament finals, by a tiebreaker. That allows the splinter to move up a notch into the 24th spot.

Looks like only FoggyOne and Dr.Publix still with a chance to crack the Top 24. They are battling each other in League 8 for the division title and the wildcard spot. With just 21 games and the playoffs left, FoggyOne needs 21 points and Dr.Publix 29 points to tie the splinter.

Also still a couple of managers in the Top 24 with a mathematical chance to drop out, but looking pretty safe at this point.

Congrats to Jagman on closing out his divison title and continuing his climb in the PC standings!

Only caught the tourney standings and meqsiton and geoff's thrilling updates POST-losing the division to jagman; his team owned mine all season, so as confounded as I am by how he dominated (lol), he dominated and earned the playoff spot. Best of luck to ya, jagman! As for the top 24, I figured my complete whiff in the 60mil league had already sealed my fate and that my boys were only playing for pride. Maybe if I'd known the magnitude of the moment....

Ah well. So... when do Event 1 signups begin?

I'll get the championship league started very soon - at least with the framework. I'll start setting out the seeding and PM'ing passwords for the East as soon as it's possible to do so.

beware the 24th man!

With League 8 regular season results now in, FoggyOne still lives, last man standing in the quest to displace the splinter as the 24th man!

He takes the league wildcard with enough points to tie by winning his semifinals series. But, the splinter would win the tiebreaker on a 2-1 edge in trips to the finals, so looks like FoggyOne will need a championship to take the final spot.

Two other managers also need to finish before final seeding is set: ROGGIE is playing in the League 7 finals with a chance to move up to 8th in the standings, and michaelrobb11, currently 8th but yet to report his last-place League 9 results, is looking for at least 6 wins with 21 to play, to hang on to a spot in the Top 24.

So, depending on how things play out, looks like Champions League seeds should be known by the time League 9 wraps up on March 22, or at the latest March 27, if FoggyOne needs a 7-game finals series to decide who gets that 24th spot.

All leagues now reporting, looks like the Top 24 seeds are set, with the splinter hanging on to the 24th spot. Just one qualified manager is still playing: DrPublix will move up to 26th if he wins the League 8 championship, not quite enough to make the finals.
