I think he means that a bad third baseman will make lots of errors when Gary Sheffield faces Jamie Moyer because he's going to pull lot of hard-hit balls down the line.
In Strat, the fielding chart probabilities are the same for every pitcher/hitter combination.

Which is why I was confused. R/L pitcher or gb/AO ratio or tendencies to get more outs on a particular side of the field are meaningless in Strat. Just one of the weaknesses of the game.

I looked back and saw the person posting about this had only 4 posts implying they are new to the game. One of my flaws is I too often assume everyone has played the game since childhood like I did. One has to wonder though just how many current online players have not examined enough cards closely enough to notice little details like this. How many build teams under just this type false assumption?
