Hi,

Did the voting ever get finished up on this?

Rules change proposal regarding division alignments:

1st Season Alignment- Based on previous 2 seasons (1 card year) record. So for the 2012 cards the division alignments will be based on a team's record for the two 2011 seasons.

2nd Season Alignment- Random, using randomizer.org.

This proposal would eliminate any incentive to lose in the 1st season to get into a weak division in the 2nd season. For the 1st season "tanking" would be somewhat reduced by using both seasons' and the relatively large year to year changes in teams' fortunes. Of course we could always just go with random alignment for both seasons.

I think you are right, I went back and looked. Bobzilla, Joker, and NHSteven have not voted.

I looked at my vote and I believe I was under the impression the vote was for the second half of last year. A new way was going to be decided for this year later.

Nah, the voting was in October when the 2nd season was almost finished. Since we are already drafting the vote won't change anything for the 1st season.
