Ha...That's pretty funny. Too early for me to have any busts yet. I am wondering about whether or not to keep Choo, I have a lot of LHP in my division and Choo does not look good against LHP.

Not for nothing, but you probably should have taken that into account BEFORE you drafted Choo.

Shop him around the other divisions before you release him.

Is anyone out there using Choo, and if so has he been a bust, so far? Thanks...

Thanks for the advice Visick. In years past I used the official SOM ratings guide so I did not have to crunch the raw numbers all the time. This year do to budgetary concerns I did not buy the guide,...yet. The reason I drafted him is because it is always good to have at least one RHP killer in your lineup. Also, I made the rookie mistake (pay attention rookies) of drafting him because I like him. (Rookies, if you really want to win, do not get tied up picking your favorite players instead pick the cards that are the best bang for your buck in regards to your stadium, division and overall game plan). Visick, when I drafted Choo I did not realize my division would be about 40% LH starting pitching. Also, I have not crunched the numbers yet but it looks like Choo at least gets on base some against lefties, he just does not have the power he has vs. RHP. I don't think I want a 6.80 million dollar player on my bench 40% of the time within my division.

Sorry, if I hijacked (?) or changed the subject of this thread. But with the forums being so slow, I figured any comments related to the on-line game that are positive and posted with the intent of stimulating thoughtful dialogue about the game we love would be a good thing.

Nick Swisher has been terrible for $5.44 for me in Wrigley:
avg - .172
obp - .255
slg - .290
HR - 4
RBI - 11

Radagast( great handle BTW), Choo is borderline unplayable against LHP. ALL he does is get OB. here's his counts vs LHP:

SO-29 BB-18 HIT-9.8 OB-32.8 TB-20.6 HR-1.6 BP-w CL-0 DP-10

If you use him VS LHP he's a #8 or 9 hitter.

and I wish people in keeper leagues would heed your advice when it comes to trades, to often people get hung up on the "name" and not the card.

Don't get me wrong. Choo has a great card vs. RH's.
He's kinda expensive to platoon in a $80 million league, so like Niners says, he's a 9 hole hitter vs. LH's.

Is it possible he's just getting bad rolls? Check the MISC. tab on your team.

My busts... I dont really have anyone doin really bad per say, yes, I have defensive guys swinging a noodle at that the plate, but that was to be expected. My biggest problem, has been my good bullpen, with 9 blown saves, in 57 games!

6 starters batting under .200 with Trout just hitting .238 and an outfield with 9 errors in 39 games this is the most pathetic team I have ever had
