Better question, why was this set up as a waivers league? :? :o :?:

Since January 7th a vote was held and passed by majority:

from page 19 of this very thread:

Rant wrote:
1. Change prospect rule to any player who has never appeared in a MLB game but in under contract to MLB team.

2. To change to the unleashed set of cards for the FA draft.

I would hope these changes would end any debate as to who is or isn't available. Again this will mean that some players will not be able to be drafted in either draft, however this should only strengthen the following years FA draft. If you have a player currently on your roster that in uncarded he is still able to maintain a spot on your roster and is available for trade.

I think it is important to decide one way or the other before cards are released so that does not influence people's decisions.

Please vote yes or no to both. 8 yes votes needed to change rule.

I will note that we've been through this vote before which is why the rules read STANDARD set (caps are in the rules), and the rules on prospects were very purposely created to allow the choice of any player who was not carded.

I don't have any great opinion on the worth of either way on either vote, so as it seems like there's enough momentum to shift to unleashed (though I do like "unleased" ;) ) and change the prospect rule, I'll vote yes on both. We can always re-evaluate again next year.

That should close out the vote on both questions.

My apologies that I haven't been more present, but life intercedes on occasions. I (we) are lucky to have Rosco who fills in ably. Thanks Rosco!

MFL-yes and yes
Nythawk-Yes and Yes(and until there is some rhyme or reason to strats inclusion or exclusion of players I will always vote yes)
Peter-
Terry- Yes and no
Rosco-1.YES 2.YES
Ray- Yes and No
Rant- yes and yes
Turtle- Yes and No
Iron- Yes and Yes
Tcochran - Yes and yes
Niners- Yes & YES Use 'em all I always say
Zim- Yes and Yes

0 more yes vote for prospect rule to change.
0 more votes needed for Unleased set to be used

You even voted for the change. ;)

Just the way it was set up. We'll have time to change rosters tomorrow and Monday. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Prospect draft complete. Well done all.

Rosters are up to date. Please look at yours and confirm accuracy.

Welcome to another season of FKKL. Season Starts Monday.

This is the 5th year for the FKKL and our 9th and 10th seasons.

RayRay's RAYS are our defending Champions

Terry is our all time WINS leader with 713 and a very impressive winning PCT of .550
He's followed by Ray with 679 wins (.524) and Nythawk 675 wins (.521)

With the exception of RANT (sorry buddy  ) all franchises have tasted the playoffs atleast once and 6 different franchises have won our 8 championships thus far.

Good luck to all.
