My Sunday China thoughts (please Great Wall don't censor my writings, xie xie)

I'm surprised the sub $7M pitchers are running in Round 3. Shall I short the relief pitchers next round? Let me call my broker in the morning as I already shorted Kershaw yesterday.

Joe shocked me going with Prince Fielder as his Round 2 pick. Joe playing a "4" at 1B (it's not a large difference as you're playing a high e-rat at 1b either way. Really the answer is to get a real 1b!) something is up here right? Dumb as a fox for sure.

Will there be a run on stone gloved, immobile fielders? Mr. David Ortiz please pick up the phone in the lobby, thank you.

Why no love for Chase? Will he be the first $10M+ player to get drafted, dropped and never picked again? Maybe he can be the booby prize when someone gets skipped.

No love for the $6M+ catchers? Molina's card ain't that expensive right Joe? ;)

Watch for those unproductive outs and please tip your bartenders well this year.

Hey guys, enjoy your picks today - I'm out!

Surly no one has Holiday proxied. Of course if we started back up it would prob. stop at DJ again and basically we would be doing the same thing as we're doing now. Waiting.

Looks like DJ got his pick set up. I picked and we're to Brookes.

I'm off to sleep. I tried loading a few proxy picks but the site says

It's probably an issue with my China proxy ;)

I pinged Adrian, he says that DJ must have accidently pressed skip.

Anyway, we're moving again. I'll send GB an email just to let him know we're back on track.

Hey Semper,

Thanks for the good scouting report, but I wanted to remind you (and everyone) that it's really not a good idea to drop undrafted names as someone might be thinking of drafting said player and doesn't want to remind the others that this player is available.

But, since you mentioned some guys, let me comment more generally.

Liked Fielder's bat and almost didn't draft him because of his glove. He may end up at DH. I was shocked that he lasted to me in the second as well as Headley which was why Headly got picked, I didn't bother to change to "delete" after the first round just figuring he would be picked. I won't make that assumption again!

Definitely some interesting pitching choices so far. Not the usual way an NLD draft goes. I was very happy to get Lohse in the 3rd.

Interesting to note some high injury guys have been drafted by others have been shunned.

It's a different card set and I think we're seeing a different draft because of that.

Pinged GB, we'll see how busy he is on this Sunday.

Me too Jeep. The "skip" really threw things off this weekend. Hopefully we can do better this week.

Does that mean I won't draft the named undrafted player too? It could be my ploy to sully his name so I can get him on the cheap. :P

I tested the proxy pick list and I'm still getting the error message. I tried using Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome browsers. I'm at work so it could be my firewall too.

LOL. You're a sly fox Mr. Gumby. ;)

Uh oh. It seems to be working fine for others. I *did* get a funny message a couple of times today, but it went away when I did a "reload".

Keep us posted I guess.
