In my league he is 7-2 with a 2.03 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP for a 23-37 club. He no-hit my 41-19 team for 7 innings last night after which he was lifted for a reliever. We won 1-0 with two hits in the bottom of the 9th. Seems pretty good to me, but I found spending that much on a pitcher is not productive in the grand scheme of things.

wow dan...your kershaw is better, although marlins is even better for him than progressive, but your busts are much bustier...asdrubal cabrera, fowler, choo with only one homerun. chipper's been amazing for power for me too. cabrera and fowler are okay for me, and choo playing platoon vs. rhp is solid, but not hit many homers either...

OK I have been crapping all over Kershaw. I have him in a keeper league and it started tonight. Clayton is 1-0 to start the season. Can't trade the guy as salary doesn't matter. He pitched a gem of a game at GAB. 6.2INN 9ER 12.14ERA with a wonderful WHIP of 1.80! He gave up 4 homeruns and my team got some hits of its own and we won the game 11-9. He can get you over .500 if your team can score at 10 run per game clip.

I think that is just what we can blame it on. Look over all the posts and everyone is saying the same thing. It is all on the batters cards. He is just bad luck this year. He is Tex of the Yankees. This guy just gets his ash kicked. He gave up 4 HR's in 6.2 innings in his first start for me. He is doomed I tell ya doomed! That and pitching LH'ed will cost you games. I will take 1-0 though even if I need to score 10 to get the win.

"bad luck" -- be interested in seeing an experiment that could verify THAT
