NEW VOTE:
Based on polling, here is an amended Rule for vote:
Now, there is great merit in keeping this league's unique stadium situation; however, since many owners argue for this since it "emulates real baseball," it seems that only being able to trade for a stadium is actually the least realistic way to handle this. Real franchises build new parks and move to already existing ones. When new owners buy teams, they often build new parks. What our current rules don't allow for is a natural part of the game. There are 30 parks, and we are only using 12 - and we will effectively be using those 12 forever unless we come up with a way for owners to make a change - not something so casual that it becomes meaningless, but something that approximates a real owner's ability to make change. Anyway, that's how I see it. I have incorporated several suggestions and come up with the following:
Proposed Rule:
All owners may select an unused stadium EVERY 3 YEARS. Stadium changes may only be made and must be announced between the beginning of the drop period and the beginning of Season 1.
