Back-to-Back No-Hitters!

PostThu Mar 21, 2013 1:19 pm

If you were told to guess which pitcher in the 90s Keeper League threw back-to-back no-hitters, who would it be?

The answer should surprise you as much as it surprised his owner ggrover15: Dustin Hermanson.

I'll report back if he throws another one tonight. Don't hold your breath!

Congrats to you and to Dustin.

I had a different sort of back to back no-hitter achievement in my 80s 24 team league this week: no hitters in back to back games. I didn't realize it until after the fact, because they occurred during separate series, HAL didn't mention either one in his headline, and for the 2nd one I didn't realize it until the opposing manager congratulated me. Also, the 2nd no hitter carries an asterisk: it was a 9 inning no-hitter, but the score was 0-0, and the no-hitter (and the game) was lost in the 10th. Worse yet, my starter gave up a leadoff double in the 10th and was removed, only to see the bullpen allow 3 runs in an eventual 3-1 loss. The pitchers? Mike Witt in the traditional no hitter in the first game... and none other than Ray Burris took the loss after pitching 9 innings of no hit ball in the 2nd game. Ray Burris! What a wacky game we play.
