Kimbrel: ERA IP H BB K's
2.39 786.2 547 203 1240

Rodney: ERA IP H BB K's
1.73 858 665 178 951

Rodney pitched 72 more innings yielding 118 more hits yet had a lower ERA. I assume Kimbrel's splits favors LHBs with the dice breaking for the hitters. Vs LHBs, Kimbrel allows 1.7 extra chances but 2.3 fewer total bases (no hits). On the right side, he beats Rodney in three categories.

Despite a better card, I've observed Kimbrel on one or two $80m teams.

Don't forget in those 72 more innings he actually had 25 LESS walks which helped contribute to the lower ERA.

Not sure what happened there, but there is no clock in the weekend so DJ shouldn't have picked. Hawk, please hold off until Big M has a chance to weigh in and tell us if he had planned on taking either of the players that just went.

I'm turning the clock off so that, hopefully, there's no more confusion.

Oh yeah, Saturday. I'm working every day here, so I've forgotten what a weekend is!

Funny how I got skipped though, what with it being Saturday and all.

Holy smokes!

Glimpse of the old NLD chat talk when we'd run chatter on the various player card values.

Heck, I remember the first time I played against JoetheJet and Wineman. We competed in 2001 public league where I had Mark Prior and Eric Gagne on my Miller Park team. Joe had Barry Bonds' monster year card. Joe took the time to banter with me. From that interaction on, I've enjoyed the statistical banter from Joe and this league.

Heck2, it was this group that alerted Bernie on the normalization settings - all through fact base chatter.

For this season, I'm going to yell "swing batter swing" more often. So, bring your mitts and get ready to play ;)

Hey Big M,

You didn't make a pick? Did you want one of the guys that were taken out of turn?

If not, let's keep this thing moving! :)

Hey Semp,

I remember that. Know what? They don't let the little leaguers do that any more! "Bad sportsmanship" or some such BS.

Ok, I asked a question earlier. I missed out on Crawford. Very surprised he went that early, but I've been surprised by a lot of picks. Shows how much I know. Surprised by how long it took Dickey to go. Guess we drafted Lohse too early.

Question for you guys. Was anyone looking at McDonald when we took him? What about Marshall or Canzler?

Wanted Schierholtz. :(

Not surprising to see all the 5 man rotations. There isn't much in way of 4 day SPs this year.

Hey Joe - I was looking to grab McDonald, but didn't think he'd go as early as you grabbed him...I've been able to grab him in auto drafts slotting him own around 13 or so.
