hit and run help

PostSat Mar 30, 2013 11:57 am

All 9 of my batters are rated as B for Hit and Run
So, I decided to try using this a lot and see what happens.
I checked the hit and run more box for every hitter.
I set hit and run preference to very aggressive.

Results: 10 hit and run attempts in 15 games.
???????
What does very aggressive mean?
What does hit and run more mean?

Ahh, very interesting. How is your OBP so far?

Should prove to be very interesting how often HAL decides to hit and run with your attempt to maximize the frequency.

Link to team?

Might be interesting to compare something like this with a team that was set for all conservative. Or 81 games one way and 81 the other.

Its all about the situation, he is not going to hit and run with two outs, and the big hitters probably are not going to be asked to hit and run even with a [B] rating. The hit and run helps you stay out of the DP but is not a high % play for a base hit and most times results in moving a runner over. I dont know what cap you are playing with but if its a high cap league with a line-up of .300 plus hitters I doubt HAL will go to the hit and run much at all. In a 80 or 60 mil cap league with weaker line-ups I think the hit and run would be used more often.

Very interesting, I didn't think cap or how good a hitter was wouldn't matter. Anyway, cap is 140.
Lineup is
DH Hamilton
2b Morgan
cf Speaker
lf Duffy
rf Cobb
ss Wagner
1b Carew
c Bresnahan
3b Adams
