everyone is assumed to have the 5 BP singles, unless it has a * with the BP HR, then he has no BP singles.

Dumbo, sometimes I feel like a "dumbo", but I honestly don't know why sometimes it has an asterisk, and mostly it doesn't.

W means weak power of course (as opposed to N power). It sounds like you're familiar with that.

Some of the managers have run production models. You could contact joethejet about that if you want - I think he has one.

To expand on the above answer, the "W" on the batter's card or in the ratings book means the batter does not have any ballpark home runs on his card and he is also unable to hit a ballpark home run even if it is on the pitcher's card. A ballpark home run on the pitcher's card becomes a single when the batter is a "W". Some batters may be a "N" against RHP and a "W" against LHP or vice versa. As far as the asterisk next to the "W", I am guessing it may designate that the batter is only a "W" versus a right handed pitcher or against only a lefty, not against both.

The ratings book or download is a big help for those who want to win while saving time.

What geekor said.

a W* means no BP singles on the card, simple as that.

Thanks to the guys who corrected me and posted the correct information. ....Are there any modern pitchers who do not have ballpark singles on their cards? I know with some of the older cards in the ATG games some of the pitchers do not have ballpark singles chances on their cards.

In the current set, out of 400+ pitchers, 51 have no BP singles vs. LHH and 47 vs. RHH. 31 have none vs. either side.
