Ed Delahanty first of the steroid abusers?

PostTue Apr 09, 2013 8:08 pm

How else can you explain his speed increasing with age.....running 1-14 in 1894 and incredibly 1-17 in 1901...also arm improved, homers doubled, range is better ......there you have it evidence that baseball has always had a ped problem.............LOL

Good call mrcush....its also a reminder that just because some players get better with age doesn't necessarily mean it was chemically enhanced. Some guys actually do improve or become stronger due to hard work.

...of course, him falling or being thrown from a train and dying going over Niagara Falls might also defeat "he's smarter" position....

I would say it is safe to say that he will be the only player ever to hit 4 inside the park homers in the same game and die while going over Niagra Falls!! Probably safe to say he will be only one to do either

Strat Customer Support replies that falling off the train was an unlikely and unlucky roll of the dice, and the Niagra Falls was a display error in the replay.
