This seems an act of desperation by SOM because leagues are taking a long time to fill, except the 200M leagues. However, I would argue that 100M has been more popular than 80M since ATG III and would generate more leagues than 80M autoleagues. But how would they know this if they still don't have the ATG data? Of course if SOM hadn't alienated so many of the top managers, in the first place, with their approach to "customer service," leagues would be filling at a much faster rate.

The start of the barnstormers season has no doubt been one reason public leagues are down. I know I won't play any during the tournament and I'm sure there are quite a few others doing the same. Also the release of the 2012 cards likely caused ATG to temporarily take a hit from the players who play both sets.

The think they could do that would immediately generate league activity is build a Live draft.

Friday and Saturday Night Live were fun events for a long time.

The auto league thing gets way redundant, even with the various cap options.

Seems easy enough, but maybe they see it otherwise.

^ This.

Plus it would absolve me from hosting a draft on Diamond Dope.

Nah, Players that they alienated would start 1-5 teams a week, so adding 1 team every 8 weeks is no big deal.
There used to be players who would do 2 live drafts on Friday nights, or back in the day, 2 frenzies

Bringing back auto leagues, is, a step backward IMO...

Leagues fill so slow, cause, people dont advertise they are creating a new league. The auto leagues, will just clutter things up again. Who remembers when there was literally 100's of auto leagues sitting vacant over at TSN?

And, if I were to start a 95 mill DH, waiver 5/10/20 league in any set, advertise it on the correct thread, wouldnt that still be an auto league as long as I dont password protect the league?

Just saying....

No doubt there were those, but barnstormers has over 130 players in it, so there are many like myself as well.
