The movie is supposed to be a true life depiction of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in major league baseball. I'll probably go sometime tomorrow evening to see it.
I saw previews at a theater, where almost every movie looks good. I will see it for sure, just a matter of when. What are your top 3 (make it 4) all-time basball movies? I'd put the Ken Burns documentary at the top, but I mean movies here.
1. Eight Men Out - I like John Cusack, the romance of this era and this is a compelling historical story
2. Bull Durham - the mound meeting scene is worth the price of the movie
3. Major League - hilarious stuff
4. The Natural - Only saw it once but I remember really liking it at the time
Honorable mention: The Sandlot, Field of Dreams, The Bad News Bears, Pride of The Yankees
Gonna go watch Netflix baseball movie now!
I have yet to see Moneyball and never saw all of 61*. Didn't see Cobb either, but plan to.
