If they felt the need to fudge, then why not make him an unleashed player and give him a card reflective of his true season? I thought the purpose of the cards were to mostly mimic a player's season. I realize this is a game and the need to have variables, but that card, in particular, seems to have strayed a lot further than I would expect.

When players have a limited number of ABs and thus an insufficient sample size Strat fudges a little with the numbers to create a card that most likely resembles what he would have had if he had played an entire season. If the player is not a rookie sometimes they will bias the card in the direction of his previous season track record. Being a rookie I suspect they built the card to reflect the standard distribution of a RH hitter.
