Chance certainly plays a role in the short playoff series. But you have to give your team every chance to win every game if you want to succeed in the playoffs.
I could not resist checking out your 107 and 111 win teams (since I have no such successful teams of my own to marvel over).
The 111 win team was down to a roster strength less than than 74M at playoff time (in an 80M league) due to 18 roster drops during the season. Loss of so much roster strength will hurt in the playoffs despite the great success during the season.
The 107 win team is a different story. I suspect Ron Guidry was more than just perplexed when he went out to pitch game 1 of the playoffs and found 8.16M Cano, 6.97M Mackey, 9.60M Boggs, 7.94M Murcer, and 10.41M Stearnes ALL ON THE BENCH while the scrubs were shut out on 2 hits. I understand that one might forget to reset their lineups after resting starters at the end of the season(??), but you just can't throw away playoff games like that and expect to come out on top in the end.
I admit that I did not check out all of the teams that you referenced in your rant. But to blame the game and want to see a refund policy "for this shit" is a bit much. Had to call you on this.
Your evidence does not support your conclusion. You did not give your teams the best chance to win.
