Hi Turtle,

OK, guys this is a little out of control for some reason.

1. We have a 1 hour clock, not time slots. If it was time slots, you would have a time by your freaking name
2. The clock starts as all drafts do from 10 to 10 pm EST, when there is a clock
3. Like all drafts you can't skip multiple people, you can only pick when the player directly ahead of you's time has expired (Page 2 skipped like 5 people, not sure why you did that)
4. Please check Round 1 and the roster sheet for valid picks
5. Only players without MLB experience are eligible, not Matt Adams or Tony Cingigari

I thought only the first round of the FA and prospect draft didn't have a clock and the rest of the rounds in each draft were supposed to have time slots. Am I wrong about that?

In a time slot draft you can skip multiple people. I should not have used the word ALL right there. In any draft with a clock, you can't skip more than 1 person.

Actually I believe it's less to do with being in a rush and more to do with being potentially skipped over that has me worried regarding the lack of time slots. Reason for that is in a 24-team league the chances of long stoppages (i. e. - when consecutive pickers don't pick when they are up) are obviously greater than drafts involving only 12 teams and believe me, they can also be very frustrating at times if you have folks that don't give a damn or are non-attentive for whatever reason (SEE Cubit) so a 24-team league without time slots invites problems...it doesn't matter if it's only one round. The main reason I don't like the lack of using time slots in a prospect draft especially is due to the inability to know when you're picking. There's no way to pin-point when you will be picking iwith this many pickers especially. Therefore, your chances of being skipped over (with non-related living obligations to take care of) are much higher with no definite time set...not even a remotely definitive time. So you either must wait around forever until people hopefully pick when you're around or you simply get skipped....and in a prospect draft is that a good way to run things?
