So you think you know SOM...

Let's say again that Frank Bailey's Nuku Hiva Tikis have the bases loaded (as usual) against Delivery Boy's Lazy Daisy Ranchers with 1 out. Willie McGee is on third with a good lead against SP Red Lucas, the batter is Harry Steinfeldt. As Willie takes a lead and takes off for home, Red at the set, quickly steps off the rubber and throws home. Harry, thinking it's an offspeed pitch and protecting the plate, singles to left and 2 runs score. Frank stays quiet knowing that a single brings home 2 runs while a possible balk call only brings home 1. Delivery Boy storms out claiming obstruction by the batter which the umpire agrees since Red stepped off the rubber before making the throw making him a 5th infielder. Frank then argues that if the batter is out on the play and forcing the runners to move, doesn't that bring home a run? If you were Hal, how would you call it?

A) Tell Delivery Boy it was his fault for loading up the bases and quit getting into these situations.
B) Irrate fans throw garbage onto the field for more wall decorations for Delivery Boy.
C) Allow the run on the force and advise Delivery Boy there are more words in the King's Language other than "But, but, but, but..."!!!!
D) Buy more teams for $79.95

It’s clear that HAL is at fault here for even entertaining the idea that there might be a ruling on the play, even via the mysterious 20 sided die.

Since Frank Bailey is actually Mike Mellers’ dog, the Schotzie Rule (re: Marge Schott and her dogs) must be enforced before any rule decisions may be rendered.

The rule reads as follows: NO DOGS PERMITTED IN THE DUGOUTS, PLAYING FIELDS OR OTHER PUBLIC AREAS IN ANY NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FACILITIES.

Therefore, Bailey’s arguments are moot in that he was technically not allowed to be there to make them.
DB’s argument that the whole thing was caused because Lucas had to step off the rubber in the first place to avoid stepping in a souvenir that Bailey had left there during a pitching conference the previous inning also becomes unnecessary.

Bailey indicated, through his agent, that he has retained an ASPCA attorney in anticipation of an appeal. DB responded that "He's barking up the wrong tree if he thinks HAL is going to pay any attention. He should just let sleeping dogs lie, and move on."
