Another SOM puzzlement

Why is one a popout to ss and the other a fly to lf

Interesting that the pitcher was Babe Adams and a 5-10 roll is >gb(1b)B

So why are results different and why not a ground ball to 1st baseman

I'm sure it is a result of the "improve out distribution" box being checked in the game preferences. Why they don't just include it on the card remains a mystery though.

5-10 is a ballpark single chance. In the advanced game that we play, the ballpark single chances override the ground ball to first that is listed. Not sure how the failed "ballpark singles" outs get distributed.

I see, I just always assumed that if the bp single failed, the result was whatever is listed, in this case a gb(1b)
I guess this makes sense though, since other bp single chances have a single behind them.
I never really bothered comparing bp single chances before, but this one stood out because it was the exact same roll on 2 straight hitters. Thanks

The Ballpark Singles or Home Runs override whatever else was listed. As far as the outs being different, I'm pretty sure what mykeedee said is correct, the outs are changed so that it isn't always the same thing. However, I'm pretty sure in every case it will be an out with no chance of a double play, or of advancing a runner. Something like a popout, foulout, or shallow fly ball. Make sense?
