I like the idea of random divisions, so lets do that. Remember its DH, 2012u, 10% dropp penalty, $140m cap ($120m actual). Oh and I still need a cheap lefty rp ;)

Salary Cap

PostFri May 10, 2013 10:44 am

Visick - We never voted on the salary cap and though I said let's stick with $120m as we did last year, im open to $140m if ppl want to vote on it. Only issue is that ppl may have already factored the $120m into their draft strategy. If only one owner has done so it wouldnt be fair to vote on it now. But if everyone is agreeable to it,, we can vote here for 120 v 140 cap. What say you?

Re 140 vs 120 for the salary cap -

My team would benefit from this a little bit. That's logical, because I had the third largest payroll after the team drafts (rounds 1 and 2). But even for me, would I draft Campana, or someone else, in round 6, if it was a $140 million cap?

But for the players that drafted smaller $ teams, I'm not sure that it's fair - and so I think they need to say what they think. A simple vote is probably best.

But honestly for myself, I've been working at figuring out this team for $120 million. To switch now seems kind of weird. It's almost like saying that there is no cap, practically speaking.

For the sake of the players that drafted smaller $ teams in round 1 and 2, I would vote no, as my own vote.

I feel like a cheapskate (bad pun), but that's my honest opinion.

Having said that, if the smaller $ teams were OK with it, maybe $130 million is a less radical change - or even $125 million - since we are already artificially at $120 anyway in terms of the game system. It doesn't have to be $140 million. But I think that the key votes are the players who drafted small $ teams.
