My payroll was also one of the higher ones. However, I was planning all along on the $120M limit, knowing that we still had the extra $20M to pay for the drop/add penalty throughout the season.

Is that how it works? I thought we would have to keep $20 million in the bank at all times - but I might just be completely wrong! :)

Which way is it supposed to be? That would make a pretty huge difference.

The way it worked last year in this league, you had to keep $20m available in the bank at all times. I think most built teams under the $120m cap assumption based on the original post. I can't see changing that after the draft is complete.

If we stay with $120m, the rule was keep $20m or more in the bank at for all games. This means you can go under $20m during the day while making moves and playing with the roster but u must be at $20m cash by the lineup deadline of 10pm EDT each night.

Based on replies so far, im gonna say stick with $120m. Thanks.

We appear to have a lot of creativity in the league based on the team names. I don't know if I can pronounce some....but they look interesting. Now let's get creative on some trade ideas....good luck to everyone as we get set to move into the preseason. Feel free to PM me with offers prior to the teams loading. My available list and needs remain the same at this point - see my prior post.

ok, I guess I misunderstood. I was thinking you could have up to $120M payroll and "drain down" your initial $20M in extra cash. I'm still in favor of the $120M cap and always having $20M in cash available though.

Okay, nothing fancy just a good 'ole 2 team real franchise league 2012u.- DH- 10% drop penalty- Frenzy - Adv.- Salary Cap: $120M soft cap ($140M). Trades allowed -Can only pick up players from your drafted franchises, 4 supplemental drafted players or players acquired via trade. No free agents.There will be a 2 round serpentine draft for our two franchises (any 2, NL or AL). Order determined by randomizer. Then there will be a 4 round supplemental serpentine draft for any free agent players from the remaining non-drafted real franchises. The order will be determined by the combined salary of each owner's 2 real franchises (low to hi). Owners retain the rights of all players from their two drafted real franchises and their four supplemental drafted players unless any of them are traded. Once traded, the player's rights are owned by the acquiring team unless they are traded again (they can be dropped at anytime and cannot be picked up by any other team). Trades are encouraged (trades can be made anytime after round 2 is complete....picks and/or players in rds. 3-6), but you can only have up to 8 players that are not from your 2 drafted real franchises.Stadiums must be one of your drafted franchises.

If I remember right what we had to keep under $120 was the roster value so technically you could have less than $20 as long as the value was below $120.

I agree with azpanthers11. That is how we had it setup last year. Roster value had to be $120M or less for each game and you could have $20M or less in the bank.
