I'm curious what others would do with their pick. We can compare notes after the pick, but the $80M cap really throws a wrench into things. I've played a lot of $80M 200X leagues, and I want to try to maintain the same type of salary structure.

I think you could draft your way into a position where you are forced to make trades at the end of 2007 to meet the 2008 cap and keeper requirements. For instance Cliff Lee's salary jumps more than $8M from 2007 to 2008.

If I had the first pick, lets see - think i would look for cards that were pretty much even thruout the years (like Braun, Cabrera, Fielder, AGonzalez, hunter, Pedroia, Pujols, etc, etc)...........Tom.
