luckily i have always avoided alomar just out of seeing how he has performed for others. i have had great luck and terrible luck with the joe morgan's, but i would never call them overrated. my vote for most overrated card has to be the $13 mil speaker card. yeah he may hit 50+ doubles and steal some bases, but he just never and i mean never provides $13 mil production.

Jeter and Knoblauch. Maybe Sosa

Interesting timing since I am considering going with him in a new 200 mil team that is in preseason.
Would be batting him 9th against RH and 1st against LH.

I'd say 10.55M Cesar Cedeno, he has a good card, speed, D, but batting stinks. Kirby Pucket at 8.38 without the stolen bases is a good replacement. Who else....
C Darrell Porter @ 7.42M gets on base, nothing else.
1B Rafeal Palmeiro @ 7.66
2B Knoblauch @ any price
3B Hate to say it...Woody English @ 7.25M
SS Rico Petrocelli @ 7.51
LF Lance Berkman @ 7.08
CH Agreed Eric Davis and Cesar Cedeno any price..
RF Tim Salmon @ 8.51

Pitchers, anyone on the Ranchers...
Sincerely,
Delivery Boy...

For me, the list starts and ends with ARod $10.63. He is Mr. Anti-situational.
Homeruns in the 8th inning when the game is out of reach.
Double plays with the bases loaded and one out.
Walks with runners on second and third and two outs.
Makes only ten errors, but they each lead to 4 unearned runs.
At the end of the season, he only hits his card in one area: Strikeouts.

He would be a marginal value at $8.63. The only difference is that it would be harder to complain about his performance if he was priced lower.

A list of the most expensive players left as free agents on $200m leagues I play in would be: Connor, Edmonds,
A.Jones,W.Clark,Carey,Murcer,Rizzuto,Puckett,Leonard,Strawberry,Salmon.
Also, Reiser, Carew,P.Waner
Cheaper players would be Lofton, Terry , Averill

A lot of Centerfielders on this list.

Sounds like the most realistic performance in all of Strat.

Definitely agree about Knoblauch (he plays terrible for me in '90s leagues too).

ARod is always a disappointment for me....

To me, it's always the primo secondbasemen: Alomar and Morgan and now Brian Roberts. They LOOK so good on their cards, then stink up the batters' box.

I am in the middle of my ARod experience now in a league where my team slashline is: .283 .344 .454 , my $9.53 A-Crud is .235 .322 .447 .

My two cents: I only care about performances in 80M or 100M leagues....200M or so leagues are totally distorted.
