Roster Adjustment - Year to Year
The rules in the opening post for the year to year roster adjustment is reworded so I wanted to clarify what it means. Previously it had said something along these lines -

2007 - 22 keepers - 3 round draft of free agents
2008 - 21 keepers - 4 round draft of free agents
2009 - 20 keepers - 5 round draft of free agents
2010 - 19 keepers - 6 round draft of free agents
2011 - 18 keepers - 7 round draft of free agents
2012 - 17 keepers - 8 round draft of free agents

Now it says this -
2007 - 22 keepers - 3 round draft of free agents - 19 keeper minimum/25 maximum
2008 - Drop one keeper - 4 round draft of free agents - 18 keeper minimum/25 maximum
2009 - Drop one keeper - 5 round draft of free agents - 17 keeper minimum/25 maximum
2010 - Drop one keeper - 6 round draft of free agents - 16 keeper minimum/25 maximum
2011 - Drop one keeper - 7 round draft of free agents - 15 keeper minimum/25 maximum
2012 - Drop one keeper - 8 round draft of free agents - 14 keeper minimum/25 maximum

I just want to be sure that where is says 'drop one keeper' doesn't really mean we can only drop one keeper after each year. The original set up sounded like this was one additional keeper each year, so we drop 1 after 2007, 2 after 2008, 3 after 2009, and so on....rather than 1 after 2007, 1 after 2008, 1 after 2009, and so on. It's the 'drop one keeper' wording that I was looking for clarification on.

23 Round Keeper/Stadium Draft & 3 Round FA Draft
How will the 3 round FA draft be ordered compared to the 23 round keeper/stadium draft? Will we complete the 23 round draft and then reverse the order for the FA draft? Will there be another randomization? Since I have pick 12 it is especially important to me to understand as it could mean I'd end up with pick 1 in the FA draft. And if the 3 round FA draft is totally separate, then that would mean the 23 round draft has me picking 12th twelve times and 1st 11 times. So I'm trying to plan for what will occur and to also decide where I make my stadium pick - I assume it can be picked in any round thru round 23. The logical thought to me would be to complete the 23 round keeper/stadium draft then have the 3 round FA draft start up in reverse order of the original draft....but I may be thinking that way for my own reasons since it puts me in a better position for the FA draft. Basically, I thought we should clarify how this will work for planning purposes.

Side note - some interesting strategies and picks so far. I find myself narrowing my choices down to 4-5 players and have a hard time deciding....realizing that whichever players I don't pick are likely to be gone by my next pick.

Thanks. Delbird (Dean)

Hey Dean, regarding the wording, the only reason I made a change was to reflect the fact that not all teams will have the same number of keepers due to trades. A 2 for 1 trade of keepers gives one team 23 and the other 21. The goal of the league was always to cut down the number of keepers by one each year, opening up the opportunity for managers to have more personnel control as we move along.

Regarding the 3-round draft I think we will run two rounds as we are and the third using a new randomizer.

I hope I've answered your questions. If not I PM'd my cell number to you.

Thanks, Paul
